D&D worldbuilding docuseries: Can 1,000 players turn my Dungeons & Dragons world into a movie or video game? I’m building Project Aurora in public. The players + DMs of the world will shape what becomes canon.

I’m doing the opposite of the usual homebrew route. Instead of writing a D&D setting in private, launching a Kickstarter, and praying people care later… I’m releasing control and letting the community live in it, play in it, and change the world in real time first, then making the setting into something more later.

For the last several years, I’ve run Project Aurora as a living universe with hundreds of players, dozens of DMs, and storylines shaped by actual choices basically a D&D MMO, but on discord voice calls with friends and with a VTT.

This video is Season 1, Episode 0: the start of the docuseries where I build the real vision in public. The worldbuilding, the problems, the mistakes, the rebuild... all of it. Because if this is supposed to be built with people… the process can’t be hidden.
