The importance of blood donation: a message from the WHO Director General

It is equally important to say thank-you to those who donate blood regularly.
This June 14th, the WHO Director General gives a special message of support on this important topic. This message first appeared at an event in Algeria, this year’s host country for World Blood Donor Day.
