യുകെയില് 16 വയസ്സില് താഴെയുള്ള കുട്ടികളും കൗമാരക്കാരും സോഷ്യല് മീഡിയ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതില് നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങള് ഏര്പ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള നടപടികളിലേക്ക് സര്ക്കാര് നീങ്ങുന്നു. യുവജനങ്ങളുടെ മാനസികവും സാമൂഹികവും ആയ ക്ഷേമം സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി കൊണ്ട് വരുന്ന ഈ നയത്തിന് മുന്നോടി ആയി സര്ക്കാര് ഔദ്യോഗികം ആയി അഭിപ്രായ സമാഹരണ പ്രക്രിയ ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കുട്ടികള് ഓണ്ലൈനില് നേരിടുന്ന അപകടങ്ങളും മാനസിക സമ്മര്ദങ്ങളും കുറയ്ക്കുക എന്നതാണ് ഈ നടപടിയുടെ പ്രധാന ലക്ഷ്യം.
