ZDG amazes once more, this time with their take on the RAT. Arguably one of the most popular distortion circuits out there, it has been recommended as a tonal panacea: chunky tones from your clean Fender amp, boosting your high gain Marshall, fuzz for people still new to fuzz, on and on. You think it's done as it is. And then you try the ZDG, and realise how much more you can do with this simple circuit!

The main mods from the original are the stable input buffer to streamline use anywhere in the signal chain, and that amazing 3 way clipping switch: boost to light OD to very heavy distortion. This may well be the go-to drive for all your needs. We'd probably only add a battery to this, but that's just us. It is worthy of our full fluffy seal of approval!
