Welcome to English in a Minute – From Home!
A loop is a circular shape formed when something thin crosses over itself. [demonstrates a loop with something?]
Keep Me in the Loop
J: Anna, are you going to Reggie’s social distanced birthday party? I can’t remember what time to be there.
A: I am! The invitation said 6:00. Or maybe it said to keep six feet away from each other...I think I'll call him!
J: Cool. Keep me in the loop!
To keep someone in the loop means to keep them informed of something that is happening. Think of the loop as a circle. If you’re inside it, you know what’s going on. If you’re not, you don’t.
And that’s English in a Minute!
