1963 Seeburg LPC-1R Jukebox ['62 MSRP $1,933]

Описание: This Seeburg (Justus P. Seeburg Company) LPC-1 'LP Console' is a 100% stock original which was distributed to it's only location in San Francisco, CA on October 1962 by Automatic Music Sales where it spent 9 years. It was last serviced on location 12/20/71. Purchased soon after by a couple, it spent from '72 to '85 in a Colorado Springs, CO home recreation room, and was then bought by a Kansas City, MO jukebox distributor 'Ray's Fun & Games' in December '85. Ray sold it to me 9/17/86. It's had no restoration work yet, and since '86 I've replaced one tube. It comes with one spiral bound laminated Seeburg Operation Manual and one Seeburg Service Manual, the original stepper unit, income totalizer, 2 working wallboxes (3 parts wallboxes), remote volume control, assorted Seeburg 'Rec-O-Dance' little LP's, keys (2-lid, 2-coin bag door and 2-keys each for the 5 wallboxes), coin door & bag, 100' wallbox & volume control cable and complete alphabet for the upper personalization strip.

The 2 Seeburg Operational/Service manuals are high quality reproductions by AMR Publishing Co., PO Box 3194, Seattle WA 98114 printed in 1983 (ISBN 0-913599-02-6), complete with specs, diagrams, illustrations, schematics, parts numbers and trouble-shooting guide.

The power requirements are 117 volts, and uses 210 watts operating and 135 watts on standby. The Seeburg LPC-1 uses two 8-inch high-mid frequency and two 12-inch low frequency speakers. The cabinet lighting consists of two 30-watt 36x1-inch white/sky blue fluorescent lamps (FS4 starter) and 4 tiny incandescent bulbs for the instructional windows. This LPC-1 model uses 7 1/2-amp to 15-amp fuses and 8 tubes consisting of: 1 - 6X4, 2 - 2050, 2 - OA2, 2 - 12AX7 for the Tormat Control Center (TCC1) and 1 - 2050 for the Remote Control Stepper Unit (RCSU4). The Transistorized Stereo Amplifier (TSA1) uses the following transistors: 4 - GC-114 PNP, 4 - GC-112 PNP, 2 - GC-112A PNP, 2 - SC-350 NPN, 2 - SC-365 PNP, 2 - GC-380 PNP and 1 - RCA 34573 PNP with the Transistorized Auto Speed Unit (45TASU1) using 2 - GC-433 transistors. The stereo Consolette Wallbox is the SC1.

The LPC-1 LP Console jukebox came in 2 finishes, oiled walnut grain (models LPC1 & LPC1R) and oyster ash (models LPC1B & LPCBR). The oyster ash finish is a light blonde wood grain finish. The cabinet finish is a high pressure Decarlite Phenolic Laminated oiled walnut grain for my LPC-1R unit.

The audio pickup is the Seeburg Stereophonic High Fidelity Magnetic with two diamond styluses.

Two optional remote twin stereo speakers (Types TW1-8, TR1-8 and EBWC2-12) were available.

It's another important part of my music hobby for listening to my 45 and 33 1/3 rpm 7-inch vinyl records. It began the 'Console Age'. Many nice, clean 60's through 80's model jukeboxes in good working condition are still available for $200 to $600 for playing your singles. Most jukes hold 80 to 100 records, can be set on free-play and provide years of trouble-free listening enjoyment for your home. On standby beckons coins from the bystanders pocket
Pleasing user when fed via juice from the socket

It's plethora voices evoke emotion through sounds
While multi-pin tubes assist etched vinyl 'rounds

What manner of form this seductive allure?
A feminine cybernetic companion demure?

Comparative similarity of aspects agreed
Yet this a provider of alternate need

This musical measure of recorded sounds
A form of time transport where leisure abounds

Designed for the masses, this machine rocks
An entertainment marvel addressed as JUKE BOX

Should you meet this machine at social retreats
Or perchance an encounter at a restaurant for eats
Just reach for metallic, let it swallow it's fees
For it's warm and waiting and ready to please.
