No Straight Roads: Encore Edition - Eve (Perfect Parry) (S Rank)

Описание: While I think Eve is harder than DJSS on PP, I was surprised by how easy it was to earn the S rank on this boss, as it was just a symptom of my first time completion of this fight. Given my lower ranks with this fight on lower difficulties, I was expecting to work for this one. Of the fights on PP, I would argue that Eve, whilst not the easiest to beat, is the easiest to S rank, namely because of her predictability and how manageable everything is, despite environments suggesting otherwise.

The first phase can be a bit of a puzzle at first, but once you figure it out, it becomes rather easy. Start on the bottom right side and be ready to parry on the bottom left side once the hand emerges. As it preps its purple attack, start a jump, expecting to parry whilst in the air. Once you parry mid-air, dash to the top left side. From there, you can stay on the top right side for a few seconds until the foot comes out to attack. If it's white, it will target Mayday, whilst a red foot will aim for Zuke. Both can be parried, so you can parry both by either switching characters or getting close enough to your comrade to be within the attack radius. This loop should keep the walking hands at bay whilst avoiding time spent in a disadvantageous position.

Apart from that, there isn't much depth to cover with this fight surrounding strategy. Once you learn the parry timings for the hand projectiles and feet attacks (yikes), this fight becomes relatively straightforward and boils down to a simple loop: move horizontally down the arena to avoid hand projectiles, parry the purple projectile that comes from the hand, standing still to avoid the eyes from the pyramid, parrying the foot attack, repeat. While the final push to the end is rather easy (this run was the first time I reached the final phase), it can be quite nerve-wracking, given how many attacks you have to weave through to reach the end. However, once you reach this phase, you have all the time in the world to reach the end (assuming you aren't attempting the S rank), so you have no excuse to do anything hasty. Even if you are attempting an S rank, you still have plenty of time to catch your breath and find a comfortable pattern to needle through, as shown in the video. As long as you remain calm, this segment should be a non-issue.
