Isuzu Manufacturing Plant at Sri City

Описание: The ground breaking ceremony for the manufacturing plant of Japanese car makers, Isuzu Motors, was performed on Monday in Hyderabad.
The greenfield manufacturing facility of Isuzu is located at Sri City industrial Park in Andhra Pradesh. The Rs 3,000-crore project, aimed at manufacture of sports utility vehicles and pick-up utility vehicles initially, would enable Isuzu Motors to tap into the growing market for SUVs and compact commercial utility vehicles and also serve some of the markets in the region.
The event took place in the presence of CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and Major Industries Minister Geetha Reddy and the senior management team of Isuzu Motors. The company officials were initially hoping that the Japanese Premier, now on a tour of India, would visit the facility. Isuzu is currently marketing its big SUV MU-7 and pick-up truck D-Max assembled at the contract manufacturing unit of Hindustan Motors in Chennai. The company hopes to commission the plant by 2015-16.
