The System of Rice Intensification (SRI) is revolutionising agricultural production. This technique improves rice yields using less water, fewer seeds and less fertiliser, reducing environmental impact and increasing efficiency. SRI promotes a form of cultivation that is more resilient to climate change, protecting water resources while improving soil quality. With this technique, farmers are able to produce more rice per hectare, increasing their food and economic security.
What can you do?
If you are a farmer, adopt the System of Rice Intensification to improve the efficiency of your crops and reduce resource use.
Support policies that encourage the adoption of these practices in rural communities to improve agricultural production.
