Monstera Leaf Pattern—Intermediate Crochet Pattern

Описание: Hi there! I've had a few subscribers mention they wish this leaf was completed in a slower version so hopefully this one is a little bit better of an Intermediate tutorial. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch this video. Means a lot.

WRITTEN PATTERN:
Using your Sage Green acrylic yarn

Begin by creating a slipknot
ch 12

First Leaf:
sc in 2nd ch from the hook
hdc in 3rd ch from the hook, ch 1
sc into the ch you just created
sc into the next 2 chs back into the stem

Second Leaf:
ch 4
remove hook completely from loop
re-attach loop on 3rd ch on the first leaf you created, ch 1 (this creates a space for you to crochet into)
2 hdc, 3 sc in ch 4 space
sc into the next 2 chs back into the stem

Third Leaf:
ch 5
remove hook completely from loop
re-attach loop on 4th ch on the second leaf, ch 1
hdc, 3 dc, hdc, 3 sc in ch 5 space
sc into the next 2 chs back into the stem

Fourth Leaf:
ch 6
remove hook completely from loop
re-attach loop on the 5th ch on the third leaf, ch 1
5 dc, hdc, 3 sc, in ch 6 space
sc into the next 2 chs back into the stem
Fifth Leaf:
ch 6
remove hook completely from loop
re-attach loop on the 5th ch on the fourth leaf, ch 1
hdc, 5 dc, hdc, 3 sc in ch 6 space
sc in remaining chain on the stem
12 sc back up the stem of the leaf-make sure to go through both loops all the way up to create an even stem.
ch 1, turn work
Here is where you will REPEAT same leaf pattern for the other side to match

First Leaf:
sc in 2nd ch from the hook
hdc in 3rd ch from the hook, ch 1
sc into the ch you just created
sc into the next 2 chs back into the stem

Second Leaf:
ch 4
remove hook completely from loop
re-attach loop on 3rd ch on the first leaf you created
2 hdc, 3 sc in ch 4 space
sc into the next 2 chs back into the stem

Third Leaf:
ch 5
remove hook completely from loop
re-attach loop on 4th ch on the second leaf, ch 1
hdc, 3 dc, hdc, 3 sc in ch 5 space
sc into the next 2 chs back into the stem

Fourth Leaf:
ch 6
remove hook completely from loop
re-attach loop on the 5th ch on the third leaf, ch 1
5 dc, hdc, 3 sc, in ch 6 space
2sc back into the stem

Fifth Leaf:
ch 6
remove hook completely
re-attach loop on the 5th ch on the fourth leaf, ch 1
hdc, 5 dc, hdc, 3 sc in ch 6 space
sc in the final stitch on the stem, sl st, fo-leave a tail long enough to weave in your tail

Leaf should measure 4x4 inches when using a 5.5 mm hook
