The Incredible 2004 Saleen S7-R EVO GT1 "Acemco" - Florent Moulin Onboard at Paul Ricard - V8 Sound!

Описание: With this video, we leap into the past in July 2020. During the Dix Mille Tours by Peter Auto race, we find ourselves on the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet. On that occasion, we enjoyed filming the incredible 2004 Saleen S7-R EVO GT1 ex Acemco with owner and driver Florent Moulin at the wheel. I must thank him, Art & Revs and the entire Iconic Racing team for being very kind to us. The car is truly spectacular. This is the chassis 029R, the first of the Evolution models approved in the Ford wind tunnel in January 2004 and purchased by Acemco. The car was built in California rather than in the UK by RML, like the first S7-R series. Only eight vehicles of the s7-R "EVO" were made. Specifically, this model is equipped with the 7-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine built by Don Panoz's Elan Technologies. As stated by Florent Moulin in an interview, the engine on the test bench developed 700 hp and 900 Nm of torque, practically usable power from 4,500 to 7,000 rpm. The gearbox is sequential with six speeds, honeycomb body panels on a steel spaceframe characterize the chassis, and the car weighs 1,150 kg (2,535 lbs). Looking at its historical past, chassis 029R raced in the 2004 ALMS and 2009 FIA-GT. In the latter championship, it won on the Silverstone and Hungaroring circuits against fierce opponents such as the Maserati MC12 GT1. Returning to the video, the car ran the Dix Mille Tours race weekend in 2020 in the Endurance Racing Legends category, where it obtained pole position, the fastest lap and two victories in the GT1b class. Con questo video facciamo un salto nel passato, precisamente nel mese di Luglio 2020. Ci troviamo sul circuito del Paul Ricard a Le Castellet, durante la gara del Dix Mille Tours by Peter Auto. In quell'occasione abbiamo avuto il piacere di filmare l'incredibile Saleen S7-R EVO GT1 del 2004 ex Acemco con al volante il proprietario e pilota Florent Moulin. Devo ringraziare lui, la Art & Revs e tutto il team di Iconic Racing per essere stati molto gentili nei nostri confronti. L'auto è realmente spettacolare, si tratta del telaio 029R, il primo del modello Evoluzione approvata nella galleria del vento della Ford nel Gennaio 2004 e acquistata da Acemco. Questa vettura fa parte di quelle costruite in California anziché nel Regno Unito da RML come la prima serie S7-R. In totale solo 8 vetture della s7-R "EVO" sono state realizzate. Nello specifico questo modello è dotato del motore V8 aspirato da 7-Litri costruito dalla Elan Technologies di Don Panoz. Come dichiarato da Florent Moulin in un'intervista, il propulsore messo sul banco di prova ha sviluppato 700 cv e 900 Nm di coppia, potenza molto sfruttabile praticamente da 4.500 a 7.000 giri/min. Il cambio è sequenziale a 6 rapporti, pannelli della carrozzeria a nido d'ape (Honeycomb) su spaceframe in acciaio caratterizzano il telaio e la vettura ha un peso di 1,150 Kg (2,535 lbs). Guardando il suo passato storico, il telaio 029R ha corso nell'ALMS 2004 e nel FIA-GT 2009 e proprio in quest'ultimo campionato ha vinto sui circuiti di Silverstone e Hungaroring contro avversari agguerriti come la Maserati MC12 GT1. Tornando invece al video che vedete, l'auto ha corso nel 2020 il weekend di gara del Dix Mille Tours nella categoria Endurance Racing Legends dove ha ottenuto la pole position, il giro più veloce e due vittorie nella classe GT1b.
