Tateyama Ropeway is located in Tateyama Town, Toyama Prefecture, and is a ropeway where you can enjoy some of the most spectacular views in Japan. It takes just 7 minutes to travel the 1.7 km distance from Daikanbo Station, at an altitude of 2,316 meters, to Murodo Station, at an altitude of 2,321 meters. It is the only one-span ropeway in Japan without a support, and you can enjoy a spectacular 360-degree view from the open-air window.
This ropeway is one of the important tourist spots on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, and you can enjoy the beauty of the four seasons, such as the Snow Otani Walk in spring, blue skies and green scenery in summer, and autumn leaves in autumn. In addition, Lake Kurobe and the surrounding mountains spread out below, captivating visitors.
