This project is a personal reinterpretation of the music from Landstalker, originally composed by the incredible Motoaki Takenouchi.

All rights to the original soundtrack belong to Motoaki Takenouchi. Special thanks to Kenji Orimo, the game’s director and designer, and to the talented illustrator Yoshitaka Tamaki, whose artwork helped define the visual identity of the game. Tamaki sadly passed away in 2023, and this project also stands as a tribute to his legacy.

Released on the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive, Landstalker pushed the limits of the console with its ambitious isometric perspective and remains one of the greatest action RPGs on the system, comparable to the legendary adventures Nintendo offered with The Legend of Zelda.

This album was created as a tribute to the original music and the unique spirit of the game. AI-based tools were used to generate the core musical material, which was then arranged, edited and produced using a DAW.

The musical direction was chosen to present each piece in the best possible way. The arrangements are primarily rooted in progressive hard rock, occasionally blended with tribal rhythms and oriental influences, while some tracks explore darker atmospheres or softer interpretations.

This unofficial fan-made remix album was created purely out of admiration and respect for the original creators.
