Alex Harvey was born during the 2nd world war in scotland. Nowadays his name is combined with rock, but in the beginning he was more into "rhythm & blues" as well as "soul".
In 1959 he founded his first band called "Alex Harvey's Big Soul Band". He had an long time engagement in a "club" in hamburg with this band which was really successful. 1967 Alex Harvey returned to England. Listening to "Jimi Hendrix" he immediately knew that he has to change his musical direction....
So Alex Harvey founded "The Sensational Alex Harvey Band" in 1972. Already known from his productions beforehand it was for the new formation much easier to be noticed. Their first album was already really successful. naturally also because it contained the huge anthem "Faith Healer"... especially the monotone and continuously playing synth / baseline reminds us somehow of feelings we later had while listening to "modern electronic music".
Of course we do not own any rights but thought it is a good idea to share our musical roots and so support their / our music
