There’s a town west of Houston called Seguin, we pronounce it suh-geen.
Native to our state is a tree called Huisache with medicinal properties, pronounced wee-satch. Don’t cook your meat on Huisache wood, it’s not a good wood for that.
“All hat no cattle” is a favorite saying of mine, and fitting for anyone that talks a big game or promises things without following through.
