"Hallelujah" is an expression of the inexpressible. We sing it in church, and sometimes when we are alone. Sometimes it's a quiet expression of the soul that tries to respond with the mind and emotions to what is the inexhaustible love of God for his kids. We exist moment by moment, conscious and unconscious. Awake, then asleep. Feeling high, feeling low. And through it all is the reality of love not in an inexpressible form from God to us, but in the very real and physically present point of connection in the person of Jesus. God who has no beginning and no end, entered our humanity some 2000 years ago. He lived a perfect life, died a criminal's death, and through rising from the dead once and for all conquered the power of death. We are made holy because of his perfect life and sacrificial atonement for our otherwise irreversibly selfish DNA. The reason for this? His inexhaustible love that burns for us, his kids.
We love because He first loved us.
