“I have a three-week-old premature baby. He was born on Saturday three weeks ago exactly. He is sweet and tiny. When all the problems started yesterday, the firing (of missiles), we came down from the premature baby department on the top floor to the underground facility. At the moment the baby is calm, he was a bit agitated yesterday, he probably felt it, hoping for the best.”

STORYLINE:
On the day Israel launched a blistering surprise attack on Iranian nuclear and military sites, authorities moved patients at a medical center in Ramat Gan to a four-floor underground facility in anticipation of an Iranian response.
The Center's underground facility has the capability to treat hundreds of patients.
Those who have already been moved include patients from the Paediatric Intensive Care unit, maternity facility and orthopaedic department, while patients from the above-ground cardio wards are expected to also relocate.
Iran retaliated to the Israeli attacks by launching waves of drones and ballistic missiles at Israel, where explosions lit the night skies over Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and shook buildings.
The Israeli military urged civilians, already rattled by the war in Gaza sparked by Hamas’ October 7 attack, to head to shelter for hours.
Health officials said three people were killed and dozens wounded.

Israel warned of more attacks on Iran on Saturday.
Israel said hundreds of airstrikes over the past two days also killed nine senior scientists and experts involved in Iran’s nuclear program, in addition to several top generals.
Iran’s U.N. ambassador said 78 people were killed and more than 320 wounded.
The U.S. and Iran had been scheduled to hold their sixth round of indirect talks over Iran’s nuclear program on Sunday in Oman, but Oman's foreign minister said the meeting would no longer take place following the strikes.
