Backstory to help understand animatic:
In this campaign the player characters were hired by the University president Rafferty to retrieve a magical creature that was lost to time, but as the campaign went on they found out the University was planning on using it for nefarious purposes. Ali was forced by the party to ask Rafferty on a "date" to try and get info out of him. In the campaign it's not quite as romantic as I depicted it, but I wanted to fit it to the song. And I'm self-indulgent and love the pairing unironically.
Also immediately afterwards the garden they're in gets bombed by a local gang leader and the players go to jail. It happens! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
