ACDP President Kenneth Meshoe has described SONA 2026 as largely positive, praising President Cyril Ramaphosa for focusing on skills development, economic growth and security.
Meshoe welcomed plans to build more TVET colleges with student accommodation, saying this will equip young people with practical skills needed for employment and entrepreneurship.
He also supported the emphasis on economic growth to drive job creation and strongly backed the possible deployment of SANDF soldiers to assist police in tackling gangs and violent crime.
The ACDP reaction adds another supportive voice to the security and youth employment focus outlined during SONA 2026.
