Carrier Life | Weight Board Operator

Описание: The Weight Board Operator's job is to confirm the weight of the aircraft in order to pass the information on to the shooter so the shooter can properly set the CSV to determine the opening rate of the launch valves. Before launch, receive a set of numbers from the shooter with anticipated weights of the aircraft. When an aircraft arrives to the catapult, he will show his weight board to the pilot who will tell him to increase, decrease, or will approve, of the weight. From there he will show it to the JBD Operator, then the shooter.

On Catapult #3, the Weight Board Operator is also in charge of "wrapping the waist", which consists of bolting metal "buttons" into the track to ensure the arresting gear wire does not fall into the track during recover.
