This was on our way home from Florida, Spring Break 2023
We used to live in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina so whenever we get the chance to go back, we do! Makayla wanted to go to Shem Creek before we headed home, even though it was cold and rainy. We used to walk this board walk almost every evening and watch the sunset and the dolphins! We have never watched Outer Banks but found out that a bunch of it was filmed here.

Shem Creek, located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, was used as a filming location for the Netflix series "Outer Banks". Most of the scenes on the water in the fictional Kildare Harbor were filmed on Shem Creek, including many of the Pogue boating scenes. The entrance to Kildare Harbor was filmed at Haddrell Point in Shem Creek. Shem Creek is a popular spot for hanging out by the marina, watching the sunset and enjoying different dining locations.
