A perfect khoya Jamun recipe made with lots of Love ❤️| #gulabjamun
A perfect khoya Gulab Jamun... simple yet delicious...
Ingredients
For the dough
300 gm khoya/mawa
2 tbsp maida (all-purpose flour)
100 gm paneer
1/4 tsp sooji
Ghee/oil for frying
For sugar syrup
3 cups sugar
4cups water
4–5 cardamom pods
Few strands of **saffron (optional)
1 tsp rose essence or a few drops of kewra
Sugar Syrup First
1. Add sugar + water to a pan.
2. Heat cardamom + saffron, simmer 5–7 mins.
Syrup should be sticky, not thick like honey.
Make the Jamun Dough
1. Crumble khoya well so there are no lumps.
2. Crumble paneer until soft.
3. Mix gently and add maida little by little , then sooji.
4. Knead into a soft, smooth dough — not sticky.
5. Rest for 10 minutes.
1. Grease palms and make small smooth balls — crack-free!
2. Heat ghee/oil on low-medium heat.
3. Fry a few at a time, keep rolling* so they brown evenly.
4. Remove when deep golden brown.
5. Drop hot jamuns into *warm* sugar syrup.
6. Soak **at least 1 hour**, best 2 hours 😋
7. Serve warm, with a little Rabri spooned on top!
if the Dough too dry? Add milk drops.
Dough too sticky? Sprinkle a little maida.
Jamuns cracking? Knead again for 1–2 mins.
Fry slow and steady — high heat makes them raw inside.
