This tutorial shows how planes of symmetry can be used in a 3D model to reduce the finite element model size and make the simulation faster. Two types of symmetry boundary condition can be used: magnetic insulation when the field lines are tangent to a boundary, and magnetic conductor when field lines are normal to a boundary.
