I had to throw in the Mortal Kombat inference in the title which is an ode to my generation. This is a real tactic used in a real OTB tournament game in G90, Increment 30. My FIDE is 1,754 and my opponent's FIDE was also 1,750. This was round 3 in the North Central Open in Middleton, WI which occurred 12/27/25.
