Cute Handmade Mug Gift Packaging | Easy Paper Craft with Everyday Arches

In this Thursday night live, I’m sharing a fun and versatile handmade mug-shaped packaging project using Stampin’ Up! products — including the Everyday Arches dies and 6x6 Designer Series Paper. This project is perfect for winter gifts, teacher thank-yous, craft fair ideas, or just adding a handmade touch to small treats like tea, hot chocolate, candy canes, or snack bars.

I walk you through the full construction of the box step by step, including all measurements, scoring, and assembly tips so you can confidently recreate it at home. We start with an open-ended box base, then add arched panels and simple die-cut handles to create a sturdy mug shape that actually stands up — no collapsing or flopping over.

You’ll also see how to layer Designer Series Paper, add stamped images, embellishments, ribbon, and gems to customize the look. I share real-life crafting tips along the way, including what to do when you accidentally stamp a greeting upside down (because it happens to all of us!) and how to work around limited paper in a kit.

This project was inspired by the 12 Days of Advent Crafting Kit by Stampin’ Up! that includes stamps, dies, and coordinating paper — but I also explain which elements are optional and how you can substitute with what you already have in your craft room. It’s a great example of stretching your supplies and thinking beyond the original kit instructions.

During the live, I also share updates about upcoming classes, including my monthly card classes, Christmas card class, and a new kit class starting in January.
