In this moto vlog, I start my ride from Police Bazar, Shillong and head towards Laitumkhrah to pick up my friend Ayush. From there we ride through Dhankheti, Upper Shillong and finally reach the beautiful Mawphlang Dam built over the Umiew River.
The Mawphlang Dam, constructed in 1997, is a 52.5m high concrete gravity dam and is a major part of the Greater Shillong Water Supply Scheme. Surrounded by lush green hills and located near the famous Mawphlang Sacred Forest, it offers breathtaking views from the hilltop viewpoint.
We did a short trek to reach the best viewpoint and captured stunning drone shots of the dam. On our way back, we explored a different route and ended the ride with delicious traditional Jadoh before returning to Shillong after dark.
