Joining us in today’s video is Raven’s loyal vassal, Isuzu Ikezawa. As I said at the end of the last video’s description, this is the Guild member the GameFAQs community helped me decide on. The majority of the build comes from my own warped mind, but I was given assistance in deciding whether or not I should have Isuzu focus on one stance, attempt to get all three, or ignore them all and head for Peerless. You all can see the choice I made.
Today we face the last two surviving members of Guild Esbat. Artelinde and Wilhelm continue the series’ tradition of having the player face a boss comprised of selectable classes, but like the battle from EOU, Guild Esbat…is a cut above what you can have. I will explain below in the comments, as the Description does not have enough room. I will still layout the battle here, however.
You have two methods of approach to this battle. Rush down Artelinde/Wilhelm and burn the Force Break of a Protector or Beast on the one you didn’t defeat, or you defeat them both at the same time. If you lack a Beast or Protector, the latter option is your only option.
Artelinde casts Corpse Ash on Turn 1 and subsequently on every turn that is a multiple of 5. Blossom Sketch is cast once every turn that is a multiple of 8. If Corpse Ash and Blossom Sketch happen to overlap, a-la Turn 40 (many thanks to Brent Scheppmann for this one), Corpse Ash takes priority and Blossom Sketch will be used the turn directly after.
Wilhelm has an attack rotation from the beginning of the battle. It goes: [Basic Attack – Elemental Round – Elemental Round that differs from the first – Unused Elemental Round]. The rotation, to my knowledge, is different each time you reset the fight, but I’ve consistently gotten [BA – Fire – Ice – Volt]. Anyway, once you learn what the rotation is, Wilhelm will stick to this rotation and never change it. If you have the elemental walls, you can effectively stop all but one of his attacks.
Once he falls below 75%, he drops his basic attack and replaces it with Rapid Shot. When he triggers his Force Boost, he then drops Rapid Shot but will continue the elemental volley as normal.
Discussions are open as always.
