Описание:
Phạm Văn Hồng is a veteran of the Republic of Vietnam military whose life and testimony provide a harrowing, firsthand account of the Vietnam War. A graduate of the Vietnam National Military Academy in the early 1960s, he served as an infantry officer involved in operations around the Paracel Islands, where he experienced combat, injury, and a strategic deception that led to his capture. Over the course of the war, he endured multiple imprisonments—including re-education camps under harsh conditions—and made several desperate escape attempts. His detailed recollections cover not only the intense military engagements and the emotional toll of combat but also the personal hardships of family separation and the betrayals he perceived from both allies and adversaries.
