DIY: How to make long fingerless gloves. Sewing mittens with the draping.

Today we continue working with the mittens.
I am going to show you how to stitch and drape them.
Make sure that the gathers are even. This is very important.
Gather the stitched edges in such way that they are of even length to the ones which are not stitched.
It would also be okay if you make the stitched side a bit shorter. It’s up to you.
If it was not a mock-up, but the actual garments, I would have been more accurate.
Be very careful! Make sure that you don’t break the threads when making the gathers.
First I need to make sure that the both edges with the draping are even. After that I’ll make the draping more beautiful.
When making an actual garment, you should double the seam either with the interfacing material or with a ribbon before stitching. This is very important. The seam has to be made stronger.
The 2 edges shouldn't be stitched together before being draped. Stitch them separately, gather each of them, and only after that stitch them together.
I’m sharing some of my sewing secretes with you.
The both seams should also be edged with an overlocker.
You can make any draping you like. Remember that practice makes perfect.
Such mittens would look good with coats and jackets.
Make them of different colors, try combining them with different accessories.
It’s up to you whether to drape them or not.
I remind you that there is no draping in this seam, just in the outer seam.
