The inside handle on my car door is broken, and I’ll show you how I fixed it on my 8th generation Honda Civic.
The problem started when the door handle moved but didn’t engage the latch, leaving me stuck rolling the window down to open the door from the outside. After removing the door panel, I discovered that the plastic clip holding the cable had broken, causing the cable to slip out of place.
Instead of replacing the entire handle assembly or cable, I used a simple DIY fix with copper wire to secure the cable back into position. I’ll show you step by step how to remove the door panel, inspect the handle assembly, apply the copper wire fix, and reassemble everything properly.
It’s a quick and effective way to get your interior door handle working again without spending extra money on replacement parts.
