Join me for a relaxing drawing session as we explore the organic tangle pattern, Budding.
For this piece, I decided to switch things up from the traditional black ink. I used a grey Arteza fine line pen to create the line work, giving the piece a much softer, dreamier foundation.
To bring the tangle to life, I used chalk pencils to add gentle pops of color.
Watch how I use a tortillon to blend the chalk and graphite, creating smooth gradients and deep shadows that make the buds look like they are popping right off the paper.
