Pinnaroo Point – WA
Just north of Hillarys Boat Harbour, Pinnaroo Point is a metro beach spot with surprisingly good wind and plenty of space to stretch out. It’s a go-to for Perth locals when the seabreeze fills in late.
Best on a SSW to SW breeze, which hits clean and cross-shore. SE gets gusty and side-off. Afternoon seabreezes are typical, especially in summer.
The beach is wide with soft sand and a decent rigging area. Easy launch and landing for all levels. Water starts choppy but evens out past the shore break. No real hazards unless you drift near the boat channel to the south.
Beginner-friendly on mellow days, but can get busy with kiters and beachgoers. Freeriders, foilers, and surfboard riders will all find room here.
Facilities are close by — toilets, parking, and shops at Hillarys. It’s no secret spot, but it’s consistent, accessible, and delivers when the metro wind gods play ball.
