DIY articulating wooden TV/iPad mount/ stand made from hardwood, also works well for overhead filming, any angle is possible,
My old version fell over so many times and kept slipping while filming, it didn’t do well and getting good camera angles was a challenge, it also didn’t protect my iPad should it fall over, which it did several times, also didn’t protect the iPad from the dust,
Seems as I have a bit of time on my hands at the moment i decided to make a decent stand using some of the wood I have lying around my workshop,
It is made from Iroko, Sapele and Ash and finished with a quick drying varnish,
The base used 2 bags of cement so roughly weighs in at 50kg so has no chance of falling over,
The project took me around 4 days to make but will hopefully lead to some more interesting camera angles for future videos.
I can also take the arm attachment off and take home so I can watch things hands free in bed, I plan on making a little holder in the future to hold one of my dewalt batteries so I can keep filming without dragging an extension lead around when my iPad is getting low.
The story behind the new itech planer thicknesser,
I went and got the planer on Black Friday as it was a good price and on the Sunday I got injured so it stayed in the back of my van until a few weeks ago, over 4 months 😩anyway I got to test it out for this project, very happy with it 👍
Hope you enjoy the build
Thanks for watching
