STORYLINE:  
Bulgaria's new parliament convened on Wednesday for its first session after a snap election earlier in the month.
The early poll came after a fragile coalition led by Kiril Petkov of the 'We Continue the Change' party lost a no-confidence vote in June.
At Wednesday's session, members of parliament recited an oath led by GERB party MP Vezhdi Rashidov.
Rashidov had also rung a bell which marked the opening of the new parliament.
His centre-right GERB party won 67 seats, the highest number of any party, in this month's election.
A priority task for the lawmakers will be to elect a government.
