The band comments: " On the surface, this song is about a village bracing for an impending attack from a ship of demons called Naglfar. It’s based on the Norse myth of the Nail Farer - a ship made entirely of the fingernails and toenails of the dead.

The song is about how death is certain and how we can choose to celebrate and embrace it. It’s about the rituals and meaning death gives our everyday lives. And it’s about the paradox of finding hope in the spaces that loss creates and how impermanence can provide meaning.

Yeah, it’s a bit heady, but if that’s too much, think about the burning village battling the nail demons."
