Thank you for watching my video today. I hope you enjoy seeing my Christmas gift ideas.

There are a range of suggestions included for all sewing levels and each take a different amount of time.

There are lots of free sewing patterns online although I have included a few ideas of Christmas inspired craft kits you can buy too.

Ideas included in my video include:

1. personalised Christmas stockings with appliqué initials

Make a hand sewn, personalised Christmas stocking with appliqué initials for each family member for a stocking they'll treasure for a long time. You could use scrap fabrics for this project.

2. easy sweet jars – no pattern needed

upcycle your old jam jars / sauce jars, fill them with your favourite sweets and make a fabric lid.

You can either stick your fabric with a glue gun on to your lid, or you could simply put the fabric on top of the jar and hold it in place with an elastic band and ribbon to finish it off. A great stocking filler.

3. Homemade advent calendar / reusable Advent Calendar
Ideas could include:

An envelope style garland or mini Christmas stockings in the form of bunting.

6. drawstring fabric gift bags. Make them in any size to suit any size gift.

7. bake some cakes and put a bow around your tin

It is a simple idea – but why not bake some cupcakes, mince pies or simple scones and either line your tin with a lovely piece of fabric or put your cakes in to a nice reusable tin and put a bow around it.

8. make it simple eye mask
