Join me as I experience the 67th Malaysia Independence Day celebration right at the heart of Putrajaya! I arrived super early at 2 AM to secure a good spot for the parade, and it was totally worth it. The weather was perfect, and the atmosphere was electric with vibrant performances from local business groups, marching bands, and various enforcement units.
One of the most moving moments was singing the national anthem and reciting the Rukun Negara alongside thousands of fellow Malaysians—it felt so different being there in person, surrounded by the patriotic spirit of the crowd.
In hindsight, arriving at 5 AM might have worked if you don't mind squeezing in between the crowd. Space is tight, but manageable if you pack light—leave the mats and bulky bags at home! A pro tip: find a spot with something at your back, like a wall or fence, so you can set up a camping chair or stool without blocking anyone’s view. This way, you can enjoy the parade comfortably.
