In this instructional magic trick youtube training tutorial video I teach you how to perform the ENDLESS CHAIN MYSTERY magic trick.

(Effect) The magician displays a looped chain and places it on a table, then loops one end of the chain over the other and pushes the sides in making a figure eight shape. The magician instructs the spectator to put their finger in one of the two figure eight loops and shows that it can wrap around the finger if pulled. The magician then instructs the spectator to put their finger in the other loop and shows that it can also "not" wrap around the finger. The magician then instructs the participant to place their finger in whatever loop they think will wrap around the finger. Whatever loop the spectator chooses they can not pick the right loop that will cause the chain to wrap around the finger. After a few try's the magician directs the participant to place a finger in both figure eight loops and then begins to pull on the chain, now both fingers seem to be wrapped around with the chain but when the participant removes one of the fingers the other finger does "not" get wrapped by the chain.

(Secret) When the magician makes the figure eight the first time he does it legitimately causing the right loop the one he forces the spectator to place their finger in and shows that it can wrap around the finger. Then the second time the magician can also make the figure eight legitimately but instructs the volunteer to try the other loop which always does "not" wrap around the finger whether done legitimately or illegitimately. On the third try the magician makes the figure eight illegitimately so that no matter what loop the participant chooses it will "not" wrap around the finger, you can do this as many times or as little times as you want. Then finally the magician makes another illegitimate figure eight loop and the volunteer places a finger in both loops and when they decide which finger to take out the chain does "not" wrap around the finger.

The beauty of this ENDLESS CHAIN MYSTERY magic trick is that you are in control of the outcome at all times, no matter what loop they put their finger in the chain will never wrap around their finger except for the first time because you legitimately made a figure eight loop and instruct them to put their finger in the right loop which causes the chain to wrap around their finger.

This ENDLESS CHAIN MYSTERY magic trick can also be performed with a string, shoe lace, necklace, rope or anything that can make the figure eight loop with. This impromptu magic trick does not require any special props or gimmicks, all you need to perform this amazing magic trick is a chain or any of the items listed in the above sentence.
