The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in northwest suburban Des Plaines is welcoming the pilgrim mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe, for the first U.S. stop on its international tour.
In observance of the 500th anniversary of the apparition, Mass will take place at 7 p.m. CT, with the unveiling of the exhibit to follow afterward. The Des Plaines shrine expects to welcome more than 2,500 people for the event.
