The Lebanon Fire Department celebrated the opening of the newly-built $23.6 million Central Fire Station on South Park Street on Monday, March 2.
The new station gives the department the ability to more effectively decontaminate equipment and limit contact with cancer-causing particles in administrative and living spaces, Lebanon Fire Chief Jim Wheatley said. The new building has more space for larger trucks and more personnel, and will allow the fire department to continue to expand to meet the needs of the community in the years to come.
