May the Lord lift all who struggle for daily bread, who feel unseen, or who suffer in silence. Lord provide for their needs, protect their dignity and surround them with compassionate hearts and helping hands. Lord Jesus, You became poor for our sake, and showed us the face of true love. As we offer our Lenten sacrifices awaken within us a deeper generosity and sincere compassion. Lord may our fasting lead to sharing, our prayer to greater love and our sacrifices to concrete acts of mercy toward those in need. Lord, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, soften our hearts and guide our actions. We also ask You to help every person who suffers and to serve them with humility, kindness, and joy. Amen.
