Life has been busy the last month — I have been working and also had a week off to travel to Lisbon (first-time visit!). And now that I’m back home, there are lots of Christmas gatherings, present shopping, and getting things done before the New Year. The rest is for the wicked!

Anyway, I just had my first solo performance at a Christmas party at my fencing club (around 20 people), where I played Bach — Minuet 1 & 2 from Suite No. 1 and the Prelude from Suite No. 2. It went well, and I was less nervous. So more performances are helping.

Meanwhile, I was learning this piece by Mendelssohn. I focused a lot on dynamics and vibrato. The dynamics are nice, I think, while vibrato just wan't vibrato, haha — especially on the 4th finger. So it’s a work in progress 🙂
