Описание: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists is underway across the country, but instead of being a routine administrative process, it is turning into a crisis. Reports suggest that dozens of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have lost their lives due to excessive workload, stress, and pressure.

A process that should strengthen democracy has instead become a burden many are unable to cope with.

This raises important questions:

• Why is the process being rushed at such an unnatural speed
• Who is putting pressure on BLOs, and for what outcome
• Why are people fearing displacement from voter lists
• Why was the same process manageable in 2003, but dangerous today
• Why are institutional deaths treated as routine instead of responsibility

Democracy cannot function on fear.
Updating voter rolls should not feel like a battlefield.
Silence cannot be the response when lives are lost while serving the democratic process.
