The adventure continues! In this third episode of my journey to visit every covered bridge in Pennsylvania, I’m back on the backroads of Washington County to discover seven more historic bridges. Each one has its own story, design, and peaceful setting in the countryside.
📍 In this episode, I visit:
Wyit Sprowls Covered Bridge – a red beauty tucked away in the rural landscape
Danley Covered Bridge – simple, rustic, and full of character
Brownlee Covered Bridge – a King-post truss gem with a rich history
Erskine Covered Bridge – standing strong with stone abutments
Sawhill Covered Bridge – a charming Queen-post span still open to traffic
Plant’s Covered Bridge – one of the oldest examples in the county
Mays Covered Bridge – relocated and restored, a highlight of local preservation
From red-painted trusses to stone foundations and winding backroads, these bridges are a living reminder of Pennsylvania’s past.
🎥 Come along as I share the history, architecture, and beauty of these seven covered bridges. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe so you can follow the entire journey as I work my way across the state!
