Dacre Montgomery (Faces of Death) names Be My Cat: A Film for Anne the scariest movie he's ever seen

We're very honored to see the first part of our trilogy creating such waves in Hollywood!

There is also an article in Polygon - https://www.polygon.com/faces-of-deat... - where Dacre talks more about Be My Cat and the way it inspired him. A couple of important corrections need to be made though:

Adrian Țofei's character in Be My Cat is NOT "semi-fictional" as the article writes, it's 100% fictional, he had worked for about 5 years on developing it.

Adrian Țofei is not a "perverted human" as Dacre is quoted asking, an enormous amount of work was put into the movie and his role to make them look realistic, because otherwise found footage horror doesn't work. He has zero in common with the character he's playing, everything is fictional including his character's obsession for Anne Hathaway of course. There are also livestreams and interviews as himself on the internet, anyone still in doubts should check them out or ask those who know him.

it's not accurate to call Be My Cat "forgotten", quite the contrary, no one knew about it initially and it slowly gained popularity via word of mouth. Nowadays more people learn about it than ever before thanks to a very passionate army of fans, critics and featured articles such as the one in IndieWire.

Hopefully more will continue to discover it together with the entire trilogy including We Put the World to Sleep starring Duru Yücel & Adrian Țofei (currently in festivals - next is the East Coast Premiere at MoMI Museum of the Moving Image in NYC) and Pure (in pre-production).
