Purnia MP Pappu Yadav was arrested by the Patna Police on Friday from his residence in connection with a 1995 case. The case includes Sections 419, 420, 468, 448, 506, and 120B and pertains to the Gardani Bagh police station. The SP said that the trial is ongoing and the MP was required to appear in court. However, he was arrested after failing to appear on the scheduled date.

पूर्णिया के सांसद पप्पू यादव को पटना पुलिस ने शुक्रवार को उनके आवास से 1995 के एक मामले में गिरफ्तार किया। पटना एसपी सिटी भानु प्रताप सिंह ने बताया कि मामला पुराने भारतीय दंड संहिता (IPC) के तहत दर्ज किया गया था, जिसे अब भारतीय न्याय संहिता (BNS) द्वारा प्रतिस्थापित कर दिया गया है. इस मामले में धारा 419, 420, 468, 448, 506 और 120बी शामिल हैं और यह गर्दनीबाग पुलिस स्टेशन से संबंधित है. एसपी ने बताया कि मुकदमा चल रहा है और सांसद को अदालत में पेश होना था, लेकिन निर्धारित तिथि पर पेश न होने पर उन्हें गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया.
