Today we begin a VERY special adventure in Sri Lanka! The team over at tuktukrental invited me to come over and test out their very first fully converted electric tuk-tuk.

This brand new scheme is to see how feasible it is for tuk-tuks in Sri Lanka to convert to electric and hopefully show the government, the UN, and others the importance to push ahead and start converting tuk-tuk's in order to help create a greener future.

Since this is the VERY first e-tutkuk to be converted like this there were bound to be some issues AND that it was you start to see here on day 1, however GOOD NEWS, since filming this series the powers at be have seen the potential and orders are going to be made for additional 30 - 50 tuk-tuks hopefully next year, AND, a target of 500,000 e-tuktuk by the next few years with the help of the UN.
