• Always check the consistency of your polish. If it's too thick or dry the brush will drag and you'll never get a uniform color, or smooth surface

• Don't shake your bottle, it causes air bubbles in your polish and they'll transfer on to nails when painted

•Always apply base coat. Nail polish is not designed to adhere to the natural nail. It also helps prevent staining, so don't skip this step especially when using polishes with red, blue, and dark pigments.

• Remove the polish from one side of the brush. This will prevent pooling and stop flooding of the cuticle line, as well as excess polish on the surrounding skin. I forgot to mention it, but this also ensures that your layers are thin, therefore your polish will dry fast!

• Cap your free edge first. This way, when you drag the polish over your nail, it will remove any excess polish from the free edge and encapsulates the entire nail
