One Shot One Kill: COD4 Speedrun Tutorial

Описание: Pray for wind RNG. This is a major choke point for the run, mess this up once and 40 seconds are lost. If you fail the shot restarting level is the fastest way to try it again.

After the shot, hit the helicopter pilot ASAP once the helicopter spawns. Then, run down to the rappel and wait to regain control.

Once on the ground, run into the big area with multiple enemies. Your objective is to run into the apartment ahead while also aiming to get MacMillan there quickly as well.

There are a few different ways to approach the next section before the apartments. Which we cover in this video!

A dog will spawn outside of the apartments, in the area between the two buildings - be sure to take it out (If you don't, the dog can attack Mac and result in a pretty big time loss)

Take out the 4 enemies in the open area, and the next wave of enemies will spawn in the right apartment’s entrance.

Soon after, Mac will call out the enemy heli and say you have to shoot it down together - all you really have to do is scope at it and it will go down.

Once Mac is hit by the heli, get ready to carry him through the next section. The safest/fastest strat is to go straight past the first couple cars - left - then right. (Don’t forget to wall run along the way for faster movement)

Head into the next set of apartments and follow the path up and around to the dogs section - walking straight at the first dog room - go right into the second dog room - and hope they don’t start biting you.

If you’re bitten 3 times on the way to the pool, I’d suggest putting down Mac for a quick second and taking out the dog - otherwise a death can cost you a good chunk of time.

Head into the pool entrance, then left through the locker room, go around the pool and drop into the open area, heading towards the Ferris wheel.

Before you reach the hill where you drop off Mac, stop and put him down to the right before the cars and snipe/shoot the 2 enemies - you’ll then here the heli pilot dialog start up, and during this time you should pick Mac back up and drop him in the sniper spot.

After you’ve put Mac down, don’t stray too far away and wait for him to talk about setting claymores / getting to a good sniper spot + go prone, you can go probe and begin to put the claymores down till they are gone - then waves of enemies will spawn.

This part is pretty much on a timer, so you can either stay back with Mac and shoot the enemies from the Ferris wheel, or you can head past the right apartments and snipe them as they come out of spawn.

Depending on how fast you clear through the spawned enemies, you should soon see no more guys left.

Run back towards the Ferris wheel area if you’re not already there, and place your 3 C4 down by the cars on the far left where the first heli drops enemies.

Shoot/hit each enemy with one bullet from any gun as they are rappelling to take them out, there should be 4 from each of the helicopters.

After all of the enemies from the first 3 helicopters have been taken out, you should be able to detonate the C4 - killing the last 4 enemies.

Also, because of how quickly you got through the area / placed down Mac, you should be able to pick him up early and take him over to the friendly heli for extraction. (The time to leave for the heli is around 1,000m)

Try to take out any enemies that are lurking on the right side before it’s time to carry Mac, as they may block your path or chuck nades towards the extract location.

Do not attempt to board the heli until you hear the dialog “Alpha team” - the heli door will land on you, and make you do the whole enemy heli area again.
