Savandurga is a hill 50 km west of Bengaluru (Karnataka, India) off the Magadi road, in India. The hill is considered to be among the largest monolith hills in Asia.The hill rises to 1226 m above mean sea level and forms a part of the Deccan plateau. The Savandurga hills are frequented by pilgrims who come to visit the Savandi Veerabhadreshwara Swamy and Narasimha Swamy temple situated at the foothills. Rock climbers, cave explorers and adventurers are among others who frequent the locale. Nearby Manchanabele Dam is a nice place for water sports.ಸಾವನದುರ್ಗವು ಭಾರತ ದೇಶದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ 50 ಕಿಮೀ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಾಗಡಿ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಎದುರಿಗಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಬೆಟ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆ ಬೆಟ್ಟವು ಅದರ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲೇ ಅತ್ಯಂದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಏಕಶಿಲಾ ಬೆಟ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಸಮುದ್ರ ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕಿಂತ ೧೨೨೬ ಮೀಟರ್ಗಳಷ್ಟು ಎತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಡೆಕ್ಕನ್ ಪ್ರಸ್ಥಭೂಮಿಯ ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ರೂಪುಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ.
